During the six years prior to launching THINKFilm, Jeff was the President of Lions Gate Films (formerly Cinepix Film Properties), and was the Executive Vice President of that company for 4 years prior to that. In Jeff's first year with Lions Gate, the company achieved $6 million in revenues; in his last year, the company had realized revenues in excess of $125 million. During his regime, Jeff led the foray of the company into the crucial and highly competitive U.S. market, structured and negotiated output arrangements with Universal Studios, Home Box Office and Bravo, created and grew three (3) profitable U.S. video companies, and executive produced nearly thirty (30) films, including Buffalo '66 and American Psycho. Jeff led the charge on all aspects of financing and operations of the company, ranging from the day-to-day to major corporate mergers, productions and worldwide acquisitions.
Prior to his tenure at Lions Gate, Jeff was employed as a Vice President at Cineplex Odeon where he mastered the fundamentals of the exhibition and distribution business. Jeff's unparalleled contacts in the film world, many of which date back 15 years, consisting of the top tier of independent producers and financiers, as well as solid relationships at all of the key broadcasters, agencies and major studios, will permit the implementation of the company's plans.
At THINKFilm, Jeff has engineered the takeover of the Blackwatch library and has employed his strong contacts to structure lucrative studio ancillary deals. Having spent his entire professional life in the film industry, Jeff is first and foremost the consummate businessman. Jeff is a Member of the Young President's Organization and holds an MBA from the University of Syracuse. |
