Jeff Herndon enters his 21st season on the Cardinals’ training staff.
Herndon, fellow assistant trainer Jim Shearer, and head trainer John Omohundro were named the National Football League’s 1993 athletic training staff-of-the-year by the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society (PFATS) and recognized for that achievement at the annual Ed Block Courage Awards Dinner.
Herndon earned a master’s degree in physical education from Syracuse University in 1985 after completing his undergraduate work at the University of Missouri.
The Hallsville, Missouri native first worked with the Cardinals during the 1984 and ’85 preseason training camps. He followed that initiation as athletic trainer at Tascosa High School in Amarillo, Texas from 1985-86 before rejoining the Cardinals fulltime in 1986.
Herndon and his wife, Gail, reside in Gilbert, AZ with their daughter, Elsa. |
