Originally from Concord, North Carolina, Jeff Hargett holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science Degree in theatre from East Carolina University. His lengthy stage credits include Harold Hill in The Music Man, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls and Max in Lend Me a Tenor. Film credits include Money Train (with Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson) and First Wives Club (with Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler and Diane Keaton). In 1994, Jeff decided to leave the lights of Broadway to pursue a more stable vocation where his background and talents could be leveraged.
Because of a great love of travel, Hargett pursued an internship at the Marriott International’s Northeast Regional Reservation Center in Somerset, New Jersey. Jeff became Lead Trainer at this facility, which employed 100 agents and averaged more than 10,000 calls per day.
After the addition of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, LLC to the Marriott family, Jeff became Reservations Supervisor with The Ritz-Carlton, New York in 1996. Since then, he has been Reservations Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun and The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua; Director of Training and Development at The Ritz-Carlton, Cleveland; and Director of Training and Organizational effectiveness at The Ritz-Carlton Hotels of New York. As a presenter for The Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center since 2006, Jeff is afforded the opportunity to use his presentation skills along with sharing his support and belief in this great company.
