Jeff Goldberg, now Chief Scientist of the Net2Phone Cable Telephony Division, is leading the evolution of proven, scalable operations technology that was originally created in Net2Phone and Adir Technologies, to support DOCSIS-based voice over cable outsourced solutions. Mr. Goldberg has been with the IDT and Net2Phone family of companies since 1995. He defined and created the Net2Phone technology and served as Net2Phone’s Chief Technology Officer. He also served as the Chief Technology Officer of ADIR Technologies, a subsidiary of Net2Phone. Prior to joining IDT, Mr. Goldberg was as an industry consultant for 10 years to telecom, process-control and data processing companies using a real-time version of Unix (called UNOS) that he created as the VP Software at Charles River Data Systems, Natick, MA. Mr. Goldberg earned degrees in Computer Science (MIT, 1977) and Electrical Engineering (Cooper Union, 1974), was a founding member of the UNIX Standards Committee later known for producing the POSIX Standard, holds one patent on Voice Over IP Bandwidth Utilization (#6,389,038) and has several other patents pending. |
