Jeff Conway is executive vice president and head of State Street's Global Strategy and Investor Relations groups. He is responsible for overseeing State Street's corporate strategy process and managing the positioning and communications with shareholders and analysts covering State Street worldwide.
Most recently, Mr. Conway was head of State Street's Investor Services business in the U.K., northern Europe, Middle East and Africa and chairman of The WM Company, the leading provider of performance evaluation services in Europe . Since assuming these roles in 2001, State Street has more than tripled its business in the region and has won numerous accolades. Under his leadership, State Street has also strengthened its position as a leader in providing investment operations services to the world's leading asset managers including Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Investec Asset Management and ABN AMRO Asset Management.
Mr. Conway joined State Street in 1987 and held several senior managerial positions on the U.S. Mutual Fund team, having responsibility for a number of key customer relationships. In 1998, he assumed the position of managing director of State Street Australia with responsibility for developing and repositioning State Street's Investor Services businesses in the Pacific. In this capacity, Mr. Conway developed State Street's asset servicing strategy and launched the Commonwealth Bank of Australia alliance focused on servicing the superannuation product sector.
