Jeff Austin is vice president and chief financial officer with responsibility for all financial functions within Pioneer. He is a member of the Pioneer Management Committee.
He joined Pioneer in 1990 as business development manager responsible for researching and negotiating new business ventures. Subsequently, he held several business and financial planning positions including planning and budgeting director. After leaving Pioneer in 1996, Jeff returned to Pioneer as worldwide finance director in 2001.
Jeff has been a member of the global finance leadership team and the North America leadership team. He has provided leadership in several major initiatives including the finance transformation effort, the North America productivity and supply chain transformation initiatives, and our recent GreenLeaf Genetics joint venture. In his previous role, Jeff directed the Business Decision Analysis team and had responsibilities for overseeing all aspects of financial operations in Latin America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and China.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in accounting at Central College, Pella, Iowa, and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
A member of the Iowa Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Jeff serves on the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Central Iowa and is a board member, currently serving as president, of Sacred Heart Board of Religious and Academic Education in West Des Moines. |
