Jeanne Carlson, CPA, is President and Chief Executive Officer for Blue Care Network of Michigan, the HMO Subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of MI. Previously she was Chief Operating Officer for Blue Care Network of Michigan. Carlson has also served as Vice President for HIPAA Compliance and Operational Effectiveness for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. Since joining the corporation, she has been Vice President of a number of key areas, including General Motors account, PPO and Ancillary Services, Provider Relations, the Ford/AutoAlliance/Rouge Steel accounts and Provider Contracting. Carlson also has been Director of Provider Reimbursement. Prior to joining the Blues, Carlson had been a Staff Auditor at Touche, Ross and Company and also was a private Financial Consultant. She earned her master’s in Business Administration from Wayne State University and her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University. She is a member of the Women’s Economic Club, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Health Care Financial Management Association and the United Way Admissions and Compliance Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Skyline Club and for the YMCA of Metro Detroit. |
