Jeanne Cain oversees the development of public policy and strategy as executive vice president, policy, for the California Chamber.
She returned to CalChamber at the beginning of 2004 following a stint as regional vice president, Western Region, for the American Insurance Association (AIA). At AIA, Cain led all the association's western regional operations, overseeing all state government affairs in the 10-state region covering Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.
Before joining AIA, Cain spent four years as vice president, government relations for CalChamber, directing the activities of CalChamber's advocacy staff, serving as its chief legislative advocate and specialist on health care issues, and representing CalChamber on a number of coalitions.
She has more than 24 years of experience in the legislative and executive branches of government, having served as legislative secretary and deputy chief of staff for Governor Pete Wilson, deputy director for administration and fiscal integrity at the Major Risk Medical Insurance Board and a consultant to the Assembly Ways and Means Committee.
Cain earned a B.A. in social work and corrections from California State University, Sacramento. |
