Jean-Paul Lavalleye is a partner in the firm's Litigation and Chemical Practice Groups, and a member of the firm's Board of Directors. Mr. Lavalleye is actively involved in all areas of patent law, with particular emphasis on patent counseling and litigation.
Mr. Lavalleye received his Law degree from Georgetown University. He received his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.), where he was awarded the Goodwin Medal for "Conspicuously Effective Teaching, while a graduate student and a member of the academic staff of M.I.T." He also spent a year at Harvard University as a research fellow.
Mr. Lavalleye is admitted to the Bar of Virginia and is licensed to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Supreme Court of Virginia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
