Jay Seirmarco is the Vice President and General Manager for SourceForge.net. Jay's duties include the day-to-day management, strategy, and planning for the world's largest collaborative technology site.
Seirmarco also serves as VA Software's Corporate Secretary and General Counsel. He has over 15 years of legal experience, including Open Source licensing and nine years handling complex, multi-party litigation. He received his bachelor's degree in computer science from Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts and his law degree, with an emphasis on corporate law and intellectual property, from The Washington College of Law, American University, in Washington, D.C. He is admitted to practice law in California, Connecticut, and New York.
