Jay co-founded First American State Bank, this de-novo commercial bank is designed to serve the independent businessperson disenfranchised by large, regional banks. In addition to his position at FASB, Jay serves on the Board of Directors of the First American State Bank Fitness Festival, an organization devoted to raising money for the Community Asset Project of the Cherry Creek School System. He also serves on the board of the Kenneth King Foundation, as well as Step 13. Jay served the state of Colorado for eight consecutive years (1999-2007) as a board member of the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA), to which he was appointed by the Governor of Colorado and confirmed by the State Senate. He has been named in the Marquis "Who's Who in the World and in the Denver Business Journal’s Who’s Who in Business and Finance." He has been married for more than 30 years, has two children and enjoys mountain biking, photography, woodworking, high precision shooting, reading, hiking and philosophy. |
