Jay is a Vice President of Eaton Vance Investment Counsel. His responsibilities include the portfolio management and client service for individual accounts, trusts, foundations and retirement accounts.
Jay started his career as a security analyst for Bankers Trust in 1971 and joined Gardner & Preston Moss in 1974, where he became partner and the head of the firm’s trust and individual account business. In 1989 he started Weston Asset Management, a firm devoted to building individual portfolios to meet the needs of high net worth individuals, foundations and small companies. In August 2005 the accounts of Weston Asset Management were acquired by Eaton Vance.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in 1967 with a BS in Economics and in 1969 from Columbia University’s Graduated School of Business with an MBA. He also taught accounting and economics courses for the University of Maryland while serving in the U.S. Army in Germany. Jay earned his Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1977.
He serves on the Board of Directors of the International Seniors Amateur Golf Society and The Wine & Food Society of Paradise Valley. |
