Mr. Lipe, a member, concentrates his practice in the area of general corporate law and commercial real estate. A significant amount of his practice involves foreign-based entities and individuals. He handles corporate mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt securities offerings and compliance, loan transactions and other general corporate matters on behalf of numerous private and public corporations.
Mr. Lipe also handles acquisitions, sales and development of commercial real estate properties throughout the United States, including regional shopping malls, office buildings, hotels and industrial buildings. He represents clients in the development, construction, leasing, management and ongoing operations of commercial real estate properties and counsels real estate brokerage clients in connection with resolving disputes arising from their activities. He also has extensive environmental law experience, having defended some of the first actions brought by various governmental authorities in the early 1970’s against manufacturers whose facilities were alleged to be in violation of laws and regulations concerning the environment.
He joined the firm in 1956 following a two-year tour of duty in the United States Army.
