Dr. Sheikh is the Chief of Staff of the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) and is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences as well as Associate Dean for Veterans Affairs at Stanford University School of Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the National Center on the Psychology of Terrorism (NCPT). The NCPT works closely with the Naval Postgraduate Institute in Monterey, California, as part of the Homeland Security Leadership Development Program.
