Jason has a diverse background in M&A as well as broad technical understanding of such sectors as oil and gas, mining, heavy metals, IT, and software. He has cross-border M&A experience as a result of his work in each area.
Jason began his overseas career with an international assignment in Japan as Area Leader for Global Education Opportunity Services which was the 2nd largest private educator in the world. Jason than leveraged his experience in Japan by co-founding, building and ultimately selling EnglishPractice Inc. to a NASDAQ listed company. He completed another overseas assignment with the acquirer working as Senior Vice President of Major Projects for a Beijing-based company called Oztime selling enterprise software to some of the largest multinationals in China. In his next role as President and CEO of Archer Education Group, Jason was active in leading the strategic acquisition of eight companies with offices located in Vancouver, Toronto, Ajax, North York, Hamilton, Beijing, Seoul, Sao Paulo and the Czech Republic.
With more than 15 years experience working on international assignments, he has a unique ability to understand both the technical aspects of clients as well as prospect international opportunities. Jason has a Bachelor of Applied Science degree from the University of British Columbia specializing in metals and materials. He also sits on a number of boards of directors including the Canadian Club of Vancouver as well as numerous private corporations and advisory boards. |
