Mr. Bergeron's litigation practice includes trial and appellate experience in the general maritime industry, mineral exploration and production industry, as well as the defense of employment discrimination and personal injury matters. He has handled claims involving vessel collisions, drilling and completion accidents, well blowouts, reservoir damage, pipeline accidents and other oilfield tort claims, including land damage and surface restoration suits. His trial experience includes the litigation of personal injury matters as well as commercial disputes and unfair trade practices actions. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Bergeron also assists clients with the review, drafting and enforcement of offshore contracts as related to indemnity and insurance issues. Mr. Bergeron has coordinated incident responses and post-accident investigations for clients involved in maritime, and exploration and production activities.Mr. Bergeron served as a law clerk to the Honorable Tucker L. Melancon, United States District Court, Western District of Louisiana, from 1999 to 2000. Since his graduation from the L.S.U. Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1999, Mr. Bergeron has taught an undergraduate course in Agricultural Law at Louisiana State University where he obtained his bachelor of science degree in Agricultural Business in 1993. |
