Dr. Jason L. Hertzberg is a Principal Engineer in Exponent's Mechanics and Materials practice and is the Director of the Chicago Illinois office. He has experience solving complex problems in a variety of industries including consumer products medical devices industrial equipment degradation of power plant components welding issues plumbing and piping systems surface finishing electronic failure analysis and technology product development.
Dr. Hertzberg often works with companies addressing the technical aspects of product recalls as well as interacting with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). He performs failure analysis investigations and addresses issues related to the mechanical behavior and degradation of materials including metal polymer and ceramic components. He has expertise in the areas of materials characterization fatigue fracture corrosion stress corrosion cracking (SCC) hydrogen embrittlement and creep.
Dr. Hertzberg also has a strong background in mobile computing with extensive experience with handheld/wireless technologies and substantiation of claims having served as the Director of Competitive Analysis and Strategy for Palm Inc. |
