Mr. Vavra is Managing Director of Chartwell’s Estate and Gift valuation practice. He possesses an in-depth understanding of complexities associated with estate planning valuations. He has performed hundreds of valuations for estate planning purposes. Mr. Vavra has also conducted numerous valuations of asset holding entities such as FLPs and family LLCs. Mr. Vavra has been a featured speaker regarding valuations of FLP interests, including MINNCLE’s Annotated Document Series on FLP as sponsored by the Minnesota State Bar Association. Mr. Vavra’s valuations have withstood scrutiny from the Internal Revenue Service’s Estate and Gift and Income Tax divisions as well as the Department of Labor. He is a member of the Minneapolis Estate Planning Council and the Financial and Estate Planning Council of St. Paul, The ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership. Mr. Vavra is an Accredited Senior Appraiser and is a past President of the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Vavra holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance, with honors, from the University of St. Thomas. |
