Jason H. Fisher is an Associate in the firm's Los Angeles office. Mr. Fisher is a member of the Firm's Litigation and Intellectual Property Groups and an expert in the areas of e-commerce and cyberlaw, copyright and trademark law, entertainment/new media law and business litigation (including construction defect, real estate, and involving the apparel industry). He also is experienced in provisional remedies and enforcement of judgments and liens.
Mr. Fisher's Intellectual Property specialty includes protecting some of the world's most valuable trademarks both online and off. In furtherance of that, Mr. Fisher has developed procedures and practices involving state, federal and international law to cost-effectively pursue infringers on behalf of numerous clients. Mr. Fisher has successfully arbitrated numerous Uniform Dispute Resolution Procedure disputes in front of the World Intellectual Property Organization based in Switzerland (WIPO) and is frequently called upon to lecture on related topics. He has developed a curriculum known as "Cyberlaw for the non-cyberlawyer" which he has delivered to attorneys, managers and entrepreneurs alike and is frequently called upon by the media to assess and give his opinion on the legal landscape of the Internet. As a subspecialty, Mr. Fisher also has successfully assisted clients to re-locate their businesses overseas and has negotiated and drafted numerous multi-million dollar payment processing, Internet Service Provider and Co-Location Facilities Leasing contracts worldwide.
Mr. Fisher's work in the new media arena includes helping the national satellite TV provider DIRECTV stop piracy of satellite signals and the litigation of numerous such cases. Also in the technology arena, Mr. Fisher has obtained identifying information regarding numerous "anonymous" Internet users and has negotiated numerous Internet, software, licensing and other entertainment and new media related contracts.

Prior to law school, Mr. Fisher was President of a mid-sized new media/e-commerce consulting firm based in Los Angeles. He is experienced in domain name issues, link exchanges, informal and formal online commerce, brokering domain name purchases/sales/leases, and online community issues. He also is an author and lecturer on topics of the economics and sociology of the new media marketplace and the Internet.
In 2006 and 2007, Mr. Fisher was individually selected by Law & Politics and the publishers of Los Angeles Magazine as a "Super Lawyers Rising Star."
Mr. Fisher is a member of the California State Bar, American Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section) and the California Receiver's Forum.
Mr. Fisher received his B.A. magna cum laude from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law. While in school, Mr. Fisher was managing editor of the Journal of Legal Scholarship.
