Mr. Firth leads the intellectual property practice group in Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck’s Las Vegas office. Mr. Firth's practice focuses on trademark creation, registration and litigation as well as other intellectual property matters. With extensive experience in counseling clients on establishing, protecting and defending copyright and trademark rights, Firth has represented international gaming resort companies, top-rated golf courses, and cigar, clothing, jewelry and technology brands. He represents clients in litigation, including trademark, rights of publicity, unfair competition and copyright litigation. He has overseen trademark litigation throughout Latin America, Europe and Asia. Additionally, Firth handles beverage distribution matters, domain name disputes, publishing agreements and licensing negotiations. In addition to being the Nevada chair of the International Trademark Association’s State Trademark Legislation Committee, Mr. Firth is a board member of the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and is fluent in Portuguese. Mr. Firth is a frequent speaker on intellectual property and business issues to various groups, including the Practicing Law Institute, Association of Corporate Counsel, American Bar Association, Nevada Bar Association, Law Education Institute, UNLV, European Patent Office and International Trademark Association. |
