Jarro F. Kaplan was appointed president of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company's Eastern Europe, Africa and Middle East business unit on May 7, 2001.
Kaplan had been managing director of Goodyear Germany since 1999. Prior to that he was managing director of Goodyear UK for three years. He was named sales and marketing director for Goodyear Europe in 1995.
His previous positions include managing director, Goodyear Turkey; sales and marketing director, truck tires, Europe; marketing manager, truck tires, Europe; and regional manager, sales training and marketing services.
Kaplan joined Goodyear as a production/quality control associate in Sweden in 1969. He also worked in tire development, field engineering and as sales and marketing manager in Sweden. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Prague in the Czech Republic. |
