Mr. Meyers graduated from Warrington College of Business Administration with a double major of Finance and Management. He achieved the highest honors in both course studies and wrote the university’s first ever collegiate thesis on the timeshare industry. Upon graduation, Mr. Meyers continued to work (he began working in the industry in high school) for several timeshare entities, guiding them to their most profitable one year turn around in over a decade. In July 2003, Mr. Meyers was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Celebrity Resorts. That year, Celebrity Resorts experienced rapid growth, acquiring six properties from Leisure Resorts. The following year, the company acquired four more resort locations from American Vacation Resorts. Under Mr. Meyers' leadership, Celebrity Resorts became one of the fastest growing vacation ownership companies in the nation more than doubling in size. Mr. Meyers now directs the management of 16 resort locations in six states, 10 sales locations in five states, nearly 700 employees and vacation services provided to more than 60,000 families on an annual basis. In addition to property management, Mr. Meyers has expanded the interests of Celebrity Resorts to include an exchange company, a mortgage servicing company, a Vacation Club, timeshare development, condominium development, and sales and marketing. Mr. Meyers serves as a Trustee of ARDA and has also established a significant partnership between Celebrity Resorts and Resort Condominium International, expanding the company's resort system across the globe. Celebrity Resorts is now in a position to achieve its most profitable year since inception and Mr. Meyers intends to continue the current growth momentum for years to come. |
