Janice H. Halpern, Principal, is an economist whose expertise includes antitrust and industrial organization, applied microeconomics, intellectual property, damages and labor economics. Before joining Chicago Partners, she was Chief Operating Officer and Senior Economist with Leaf Group LLC, an economic consulting firm. She began her consulting career with Lexecon Inc., where she was Senior Vice President. She has provided expert testimony in antitrust matters, and has supervised studies of numerous industries, including entertainment and other intellectual property, consumer products, oil and gas, and insurance that were submitted to antitrust authorities, other regulatory agencies and federal courts. She also worked as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and has published articles on social security and lost profits damages. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from M.I.T. |
