Janet is an editor and project manager at Imagination Publishing. She works on custom publications and video productions targeted at small business owners. Her favorite projects include producing webcasts and writing small business success stories.
Before joining Imagination, Janet traveled in China for a year and studied Mandarin at Beijing Language and Culture University. Between taxi and camel rides, she mingled with both locals and a multinational posse hailing mainly from Japan, Korea, Russia and various eastern European countries. By day, she snacked on Chinese street food and shopped on the Silk Road. By night, she documented her trials and travails as a Taiwanese-American in China.
Janet holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Cornell University and a Masters of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University, where she was McCormick Tribune scholar. She hopes to break into travel writing by eating a local dish in every country of the world and documenting it in the most appropriate channel, whether it’s her blog, twitter stream, camera phone, or scribbles on a napkin.
When she’s not whipping up a new dish for her food blog, Janet tries to pull off 5/26 of a marathon whenever the weather is not too cold. She de-stresses by stretching out in a 105-degree bikram yoga studio. |
