Janet is the Director of the Firm's Client Support Services. She and her Team provide bookkeeping and software training, computer system development, policy and procedure manual creation, training and/or preparation of year end schedules and just about anything else that organizes and establishes controls for the accounting office. At KPM she also performs the duties of Network Administrator.
She is a graduate of Bentley College with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting Information Systems. Prior to joining the firm in 1997, Janet had over 20 years of experience in all aspects of bookkeeping and computer training and implementation for numerous types of businesses.
At KPM, Janet has been instrumental in the creation of a bookkeeping training program named Bookkeeping In A Box. This program is a customized method taught on a one-to-one bsais with the business owner and/or the person chosen to receive the training. It meets the specific needs of that business and is adjusted to fit the skill level of the trainee. Benefits that rise out of this program are that the business owner is left with not only a trained staff person but also a procedure manual that directly relates to their business.
Janet is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants of which she serves on the Information Technology Committee. She is a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and the QuickBooks Professional Advisors Program. She is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and an Oracle Small Business Certified Consultant. In addition Janet is a member of the South Shore Women's Business Network, where she serves as Chairperson on the Finance Team. In 2001, she received the Rising Star award from the SSWBN team. Janet extends that same enthusiasm into everything that she does.
