Jane Wheeler is the Senior Managing Director leading Evercore’s financial services corporate advisory business. Ms. Wheeler has over fifteen years of investment banking experience. Ms. Wheeler was named to the Institutional Investor Online Finance 40, the ranking of the most influential people on wired Wall Street, in 2006 as well as 2005.
Since joining Evercore, her advisory mandates have included the $1.05BN acquisition by InterContinentalExchange of the New York Board of Trade, the sale of Instinet to Nomura, the formation of the FXMarketspace joint venture between the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and Reuters, the formation of BNY ConvergEx by the Bank of New York, Eze Castle and GTCR, E*TRADE’s acquisitions of BrownCo for $1.6BN from JPMorgan and of Harrisdirect for $700MM from Bank of Montreal, TA Associates acquisition of eSeclending and HotspotFXi’s sale to Knight.
Prior to joining Evercore in July 2005, Ms. Wheeler was the Managing Director heading the securities industry and financial technology investment banking business at Morgan Stanley, where she worked for over twelve years. Ms. Wheeler graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia and is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Brearley School. |
