Dr. Jane Jorgensen is the Chief Modeler and Principal Scientist at CleverSet and has been a part of the CleverSet team since inception. Jane holds a Ph.D. in Public Health (Oregon State University - 1997), with focus areas in epidemiology, statistics, and dynamical systems analysis. Jane draws on both her skills and experience in these areas to detect behaviors and trends, model them, and measure them. The patterns she discovers are often complex, and for the first time, she has the tools that are powerful enough to accomplish these tasks. Jane will continue her work as part of the ATG team assuming the role of Principal Scientist enhancing ATG's expertise and ability in these critical areas. Jane is CleverSet's resident puzzle solver, and believes that building models brings together the unsettledness of not knowing how things fit together with the thrill of discovering how they ultimately do. Jane is a firm believer in the power of small business to drive innovation and fuel economic growth. When not working (which is rare!), you can find her in the garden where she grows herbs, fragrant flowers, and heirloom vegetables. Not surprisingly, Jane is continually amazed that most of the maritime Pacific Northwest falls in USDA plant hardiness zone 8. |
