Jane E. Black is a Vice President and Senior Engagement Leader at Senn-Delaney Leadership, focusing on the design, leadership and implementation of strategic shifts in organizations in need of change. Her specialty is creating the ‘architecture’ of the strategy; partnering with key players, she concentrates on understanding and utilizing the current client business strategies, structure, operations, systems, and processes to customize a strategy to create a healthy culture. Since joining Senn-Delaney Leadership in 1989, Jane has managed a wide range of client strategies, ranging from Merger and Acquisition integration, creating customer focus and high quality mentality, restructuring of senior teams, shifts in client Vision, Values and Mission, alignment and support of Customer Satisfaction, and restructuring, downsizing, and reengineering. Jane has helped clients in many industries with their strategy implementation. Industries and clients have included Service (Toys’R’Us, McDonald’s, Bank One, California State Automobile Association, Home Life Insurance), Healthcare (PacificCare), Energy (British Gas Transco, Enron, Portland Gas & Electric, SONAT, Washington Natural Gas), and Telecommunications (NYNEX, Bell Atlantic, Pacific Bell). Prior to joining Senn-Delaney Leadership in 1989, Jane had extensive experience in US and international strategic planning and business development with the American Express Travel Related Services Company. Jane was raised in Ohio. She holds a B.S. in Economics from Allegheny College and a Masters of Industrial Administration from Carnegie-Mellon University. Jane and her husband, Terry, live in Mill Valley, California. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and planning their vacations to exotic diving locations. Her free time is spent with her godchildren or working on her fixer-upper house. |
