PRACTICE DESCRIPTION
Ms. Remillard has been practicing biotechnology law with Lahive & Cockfield, LLP for more than (15) years, and became a partner in 2000. She has extensive experience in worldwide patent counseling and strategic planning, including patent prosecution, freedom to operate evaluations, opinion work, public offerings, agreements, licensing due diligence analyses, interferences and oppositions involving a variety of biomedical technologies. Her specialties include antibodies, proteins, small molecules, vaccines, genomics, gene therapy, drug delivery and medical devices.
Ms. Remillard represents a broad range of clients, from start-up biotechnology companies to established biopharmaceutical corporations, in developing and implementing effective IP strategies, building strong patent portfolios that protect and facilitate commercialization of products and assessing freedom to operate. She also works with companies and investors to provide due diligence evaluations and opinions in connection with collaborations, acquisitions, licensing and financing including initial public and private placements both in the U.S. and abroad.
Ms. Remillard was named a 2007 Massachusetts SuperLawyers Rising Star.
