Mr. Peeters is chairman, president and CEO of Olameter, Inc., which he founded in 1998. Olameter offers a full range of telemetry and gateway services to utilities (electricity, gas, water) and others; including meter reading, data collection, aggregation and dissemination services via a gateway product that can act as a physical network portal within a building through which other services may also be supplied. He was previously founder, vice-chairman, president and CEO of Fonorola, Inc., a leading Canadian facilities-based long distance and data services provider that was sold to Call-Net Enterprises, Inc. in 1998 for C$1.8 billion. Prior to the launch of Fonorola in 1990, Peeters formed Boyd, Peeters & Molson, a seed capital company, and spent 13 years with the SNC-Lavlin Group, one of Canada's largest engineering/construction companies. Mr. Peeters holds a Bachelor of Mining Engineering degree from McGill University. |
