Jan Klein has been both a venture capitalist and an executive with operational responsibilities who has spent over 25 years in the telecommunication field. He began his career at AT&T and during his 18 year tenure, held senior positions in sales, operations and finance. Capping his AT&T career, Jan was responsible for the financial planning and negotiation of the 1993 McCaw Cellular acquisition. Following this, Jan joined Dean Witter Reynolds as a sell-side equity analyst covering wireless and Internet firms. Jan has also worked as a business and financial planning consultant helping early stage telecommunications companies secure financing and establish industry partnerships.
Jan currently also serves as Executive in Residence at the Stevens Institute of Technology (New Jersey). Jan holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University, an MBA in Finance from George Washington University, an Executive MBA from Cornell University and an Associate Degree in Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and holds a NASD Series 7 license. |
