Dr. Jan Jaferian’s career has spanned more than twenty years. She has launched or revitalized global businesses for Fortune 500 firms in the telecommunications computers electronics office products and petrochemicals industries. Dr. Jaferian is formerly President of Lucent Technologies Intellectual Property Business; Vice President of Xerox Intellectual Property Operations; and Executive Director of Technology Licensing at Amoco Corporation. At Digital Equipment Corporation she held a variety of senior management positions including corporate strategy licensing international market development research and development quality strategic alliances product development and new business launch. Dr. Jaferian is a member of the National Knowledge & Intellectual Property management Taskforce and the Licensing Executives Society. She has served on the National Intellectual Property Law Institute Board of Directors since 1997 and as its Chairman since 2000. She is a co-author of Business Power Creating New Wealth From IP Assets published in 2007 by John Wiley & Sons. Dr. Jaferian earned her BA and MBA from the University of New Hampshire and a DBA from Harvard Business School.
