Jan Bell, executive vice president of membership and business services, joined the California Chamber in 2002 after a 20-year career at Hewlett-Packard.
Before joining the CalChamber, Bell held the position of vice president and general manager of Hewlett-Packard's North American Storage business with profit and loss responsibilities. Before taking over those responsibilities, she served in multi-functional positions such as marketing and sales manager of HP's LAN networking business, service marketing and development manager within HP's Corporate Information Technology Department and regional distribution manager for HP's North American PC business.
Before beginning her career with Hewlett-Packard, Bell was the executive director of the San Luis Obispo County Symphony and assistant publisher of Impact Publishers, Inc., also of San Luis Obispo. Impact Publishers was a start-up at the time of Bell's employment, and recently celebrated its 25th anniversary of operations.
Bell holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master's degree from San Jose State University. |
