Experience:
Mr. Lynch’s practice is concentrated on pharmaceutical patent matters with particular emphasis on litigation, counseling and portfolio management under the Hatch-Waxman Act. He has participated in numerous Hatch-Waxman patent litigations and client counseling matters for a diverse range of drug products including antibiotics, anti-depressants, proton-pump inhibitors, muscle relaxants and hormone replacement therapy. Additionally, he has advised clients on patent portfolio matters such as life cycle management and portfolio review associated with the purchase or license of patent rights. Mr. Lynch also has experience litigating, drafting patent applications and freedom to operate opinions in numerous diverse technologies including vascular stents and occlusion coils, and other pharmaceutical and chemical related technologies.
In addition to his work in the pharmaceutical and medical device arenas, Mr. Lynch has also drafted patent applications and freedom-to-operate opinions, counseled clients and litigated numerous matters in the mechanical, electrical and chemical arts. This experience includes litigating matters involving packaging for hazardous materials, industrial combustion systems, fiber optic connectors, semi-conductor devices, and polymer laminates used in the labeling industry. His patent prosecution experience includes drafting patent applications relating to coatings for CD/DVD discs, plate freezers used in the food industry, valves and piping used in the dairy industry, exercise equipment, and gantry cranes.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lynch was design engineer in the pulp and paper industry with the Beloit Corporation. While attending law school he completed numerous courses required for a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
