Mr. Rhymes is a member of the firm’s admiralty and and oil and gas litigation practice groups.His extensive litigation experience includes maritime, energy, oilfield restoration, royalty, oil well lien and joint operating agreement litigation in all federal and state courts. He has appeared before the Department of Conservation in unitization matters and before the State Mineral Board on state leasing issues.He has personally responded to various emergency situations, including fatalities involving heavy machinery in Ruston, Louisiana, where he was required to handle security, press, police and OSHA investigations, and conduct factual investigation on behalf of the client. He has practical experience in the maintenance and operation of gas processing plants and other oil and gas related facilities.He has advised clients in a variety of admiralty matters, including insurance, offshore drilling, personal injury, vessel collisions, drilling and completion accidents, well blowouts, reservoir damage, pipeline accidents and other oilfield tort claims.Mr. Rhymes belongs to the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. |
