Mr. James Toms plays an integral role as a key member of the Celera VBS Solutions Group focused on providing change management consulting and corporate transformation initiatives for multinational companies. He works with senior executives and managers to help them achieve their commercial goals. James helps companies manage for change with an emphasis on improving their ability to predict, understand and adapt to change. Mr. Toms’ change management consulting practice draws on his vast experience as a senior Human Resources executive. Having worked closely with senior management, he has played an instrumental role helping successful global organizations understand the roots causes of why they are changing, where they are going and what they must do to achieve operational excellence. Specifically, James provides expert advise in the following areas of human capital management: strategy/planning workshop facilitation, change program definition and delivery, project management, leadership coaching, employee/union consultation and negotiation, people: roles, competencies and structures, employment law and HR consultancy. James divides his time between the New York and London offices of Celera Partners. He is a certified executive business coach (with Level A & B psychometric testing and Myers Briggs accreditation). Mr. Toms brings extensive business experience to The Change Practice from his previous roles. He has international experience as Vice President of Human Resources for the international business of American International Group, the global insurance/financial services conglomerate and one of the largest firms in its industry. Based in New York City, he was responsible for the HR function of an 11,000 staff, $10 billion foreign general insurance business. |
