Dr Tepperberg is board-certified in clinical cytogenetics. He received a master’s degree in genetics from West Virginia University, and a PhD in genetics and developmental biology from West Virginia University with thesis research at Duke University. He did his postdoctoral training at the University of North Carolina. Dr Tepperberg supervises the molecular cytogenetics laboratory where he is responsible for the diagnosis, interpretation, and development of prenatal, postnatal, and cancer fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) testing. He also supervises staff continuing education and journal club, and he is involved with computer and library searches for patient-related cytogenetic problems. Dr Tepperberg is a fellow of the American College of Medical Genetics and a member of the American Society of Human Genetics and the Southeastern Regional Genetics Group. |
