Jim Sult is a vice president in the public finance group at Piper Jaffray. He joined the firm in 2004 and provides quantitative analysis and related transaction support for general governmental deals with a special focus on project revenue and hospitality-related financings.
Sult has worked closely with the banking team, providing investment banking services for clients including the Austin Convention Center Hotel, Baltimore Convention Center Hotel, Erie Convention Center Hotel, Lombard Conference Center and Hotel, Arizona Game and Fish Department and Commission, and Mohave County administration. He has more than seven years of investment banking experience in both public and corporate finance and has provided quantitative support for municipal debt issues, asset-based financings, and merger and acquisition transactions. In addition, he spent three years as a consultant, specializing in corporate restructuring, assisting debtors and lenders in bankruptcy situations and debt restructuring. Prior to his role as a consultant, Sult worked for Ernst & Young in the public finance verification group.
Sult received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and finance from the University of Arizona and a Master of Business Administration degree from Georgetown University. |
