James has worked on several hundred million dollars worth of transactions since joining the company in 2001. He has worked with publicly and privately held real estate owners and developers in the office, hotel, retail, residential, mixed-use, and land development sectors across the country. He has been particularly focused on advising clients on the equity and debt capitalization of mixed-use residential projects. Prior to his affiliation with Johnson Capital, he was a principal at real estate developer LuxCore LLC, in partnership with Zurich-based Kistler AG. He was responsible for the areas of site selection and acquisition, entitlement, EIR, redevelopment, master planning, private equity placement, and negotiations for large scale, mixed-use projects. He also founded a company that provided strategic and project management services for multinational corporations and government agencies including Merrill Lynch, News Corporation, and the United States Department of the Interior. James is an honors graduate of Harvard University and holds an BA from IMD International. |
