Mr. Kopel was named Executive Vice President for the Texas Region of Centex Homes in February 2006, overseeing business operations in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, Killeen, San Antonio and Houston. He joined Centex Homes in 1987 when Centex acquired the John Crosland Company in Charlotte, North Carolina. After working as Production Manager for the Northern Virginia Division of Centex Homes from 1988 - 1990, he served for six years in the capacities of Director of Production Development and then Vice President of Management Development, both for Centex Homes’ corporate office in Dallas, Texas. Beginning in 1996, Mr. Kopel served as Division President for the LA/Ventura Division in California, and was named an Executive Vice President for the Southwest Region in April 2001. Mr. Kopel began his career in the homebuilding industry in 1984 at John Crosland Company. During his employment with Crosland, Mr. Kopel served as Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent and Area Construction Manager. Mr. Kopel holds a B.A. from Davidson College and an M.A. from Furman University. |
