A quick study and natural innovator, Jim Kizielewicz holds a series of firsts at Kronos: the first trainer; first product marketing person; first industry vice president; first to pull marketing together under one umbrella organization; and the first to start the corporate strategy group.
Kizielewicz's values of integrity and hard work were formed through his modest upbringing as one of four children in a close-knit working-class neighborhood in Buffalo, New York. These values are the foundation of his management and leadership style at Kronos.
A graduate of Hamilton College where he earned a bachelor's degree in government, Kizielewicz credits his strong liberal arts education for giving him the tools problem-solving, writing, and speaking he uses everyday to define and execute the company's strategic direction and marketing strategy.
Kizielewicz joined Kronos in 1981, after hearing about a thriving young company his college roommate's brother had started. During his tenure at Kronos, he has played an integral role in growing the company into what today is a half-billion dollar company and the leader in its market. A true team player and the ultimate "in-fielder," he has played a part in nearly every department at Kronos, from fielding technical support questions to performing customer demonstrations to launching new marketing programs.
Today, as senior vice president, corporate strategy and chief marketing officer, Kizielewicz is charged with spearheading key initiatives that support the company's continued growth, as well as identifying new markets and business opportunities. He is also chartered with identifying, executing, and integrating strategic acquisitions while overseeing Kronos' global marketing strategy.
Best known at Kronos for his strategic thinking and desire to deliver results, Kizielewicz is also credited with making Kronos a fun place to work. In addition to his bachelor's degree, Kizielewicz has participated in a series of executive education programs, including the AEA/Stanford Executive Institute at Stanford University. He is a member of the speaker circuit, often offering advice about corporate strategy and business development to privately held technology companies.
Kizielewicz is an avid deep sea fisherman, spending most summer weekends with his family on Cape Cod. |
