James Judson co-founded Witness Systems, Inc (WITS-Nasdaq), the premier supplier of quality monitoring; recording, and e-learning solutions for call centers. Incorporated in 1988, Mr. Judson headed the sales and marketing efforts until 1995 when he became President. Recognized by Call Center Magazine as an Industry Pioneer, during his tenure as President of Witness Systems from 1995 to 1998, Mr. Judson led the company to a 300 percent growth in revenues and increased personnel five times over. The company was named to the INC. Magazine list of 500 fastest growing private corporations in 1997, 1998, and 1999. Mr. Judson initiated and ratified a relationship with Battery Ventures LLC in 1997 that resulted in a $12M investment in the company and a follow-on round of $6M in 1998. In February 2000, the company completed a successful IPO. Judson served for 4 years on the Witness Systems, Inc. Board of Directors (three years as Chairman) until his term expired in January 2001. Prior to founding Witness Systems, Inc., Judson enjoyed a highly accelerated sales career at a data communication equipment manufacturer Rixon, Inc., a division of Schlumberger (SLB-NYSE) becoming the youngest Regional Sales Manager in the company. Judson’s Southeast Region led the company in sales and over-quota attainment in 1985 and 1986. Judson serves as a Director for applications provider CreditHawk, LLC in addition to his equity interest in the operation. He is the managing member of Fallstreak Aviation, LLC, a charter air transportation company. He is a member of the Aqualations LLC advisory board and serves on the Board of Trustees for Wake Forest University. Judson graduated with a B.A. degree from Wake Forest University ‘80 in Winston-Salem, NC and earned postgraduate credits from Mercer University in Atlanta. |
