James Hume is a leading technologist in the Global Positioning System (GPS) industry. He is a former Vice President and Director of Magnavox ESC, one of the pioneers of the GPS industry. He has an extensive background in developing technologies involving wireless communications and GPS, particularly applications requiring a high degree of navigation, tracking or measurement accuracy. He has a total of 35 years of general management, marketing and product development experience and has managed several companies for the Global, Dutch-based electronics giant, Philips Electronics. For Philips’ subsidiary, Magnavox Electronic Systems Company, a strategic business unit with sales and service in over 30 countries, he was Vice President and Director of Commercial Navigation and Positioning, with full P&L responsibility |
