Dr. Hoxie is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Director of the Penn Center for AIDS Research. His lab focuses on identifying viral and cellular determinants of HIV and SIV tropism and pathogenesis. His lab was the first to isolate an antibody against the HIV chemokine receptor CXCR4 and the first to demonstrate CD4-independent use of chemokine receptors by HIV. The development of the Lipoparticle technology originated from Dr. Hoxie's laboratory, and he advises Integral on antibody development applications. |
