Experience:
James Hill focuses his practice on the corporate taxation aspects of mergers and acquisitions, group reorganisations, and corporate finance. He also provides tax advice in relation to employment taxes (particularly with regard to share incentives) and stamp taxes. James came to Mayer Brown in 2007 from another major international law firm.

Advised a US listed pharmaceutical company on the withholding tax aspects of a royalty stream securitization.
Advised a private equity fund on the acquisition of a multi-jurisdiction telecommunications business from a UK listed company.
Advised a UK pharmaceutical company on its sale to a UK listed company.
Advised a US listed company on the tax and legal aspects of its share incentive program across a number of European jurisdictions.
