James Flintoft is Managing Director of Business Banking. Born in New York, James has a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Science from Melbourne University. He gained his MBA at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in the USA. James joined ANZ in 1999 as Head of Strategy and Planning, Corporate and Institutional Banking. He has undertaken a range of roles including Regional Executive, Corporate Banking, and Head of Small to Medium Enterprise Banking (Vic, WA, SA, Tas). He was appointed Managing Director Business Banking Australia in 2004. He began his career as a Corporate Lawyer with Arthur Robinson & Hedderwicks specialising in Mergers & Acquisitions and commercial transactions. He spent nine years as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in their Sydney, London and Washington offices serving Financial Services, Energy and Pharmaceuticals and Retailing clients. James is also a board member of The Mirabel Foundation a not-for-profit organisation that provides support and counselling services for children orphaned or abandoned as a result of parental drug abuse. |
