He has considerable experience with regard to sales and leasebacks, real estate outsourcing, and joint venture agreements, as well as with the real estate aspects of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and projects. James initiated his practice with Mayer Brown in 2001 and was named partner in 2005. Prior to joining Mayer Brown, he was associated with another prominent law firm in London.

Advising a leading international investment bank on a number of real estate acquisitions and disposals relating to its real estate funds, including the sale, leaseback, development, and letting of a 52-acre industrial park.
