James Barton was named Managing Director in the 3rd quarter of 2004, with the responsibility of overseeing Mohr Partners’ operations in Orlando, Florida. James has spent his entire professional career in the commercial real estate. Over the last 20 years, his experience includes leasing and marketing, tenant representation, land sales, lease negotiation, tenant improvement construction, building and project renovation. James has served many leading institutional, corporate owners, and individual tenants in the Florida market including: Florida Office Property Company, Texas Teachers Retirement System, Lend Lease and The Hartford. To date, his total leasing efforts in representing both property owners and tenants has exceeded over 3 million square feet. James brings this totality of experience to Mohr Partners’ national and international clients.James has been responsible for leasing 13 projects in the Greater Orlando MSA area. His duties included annual budgeting and planning, marketing programs, and development/maintenance of several websites in relation to the office properties. James was successful in achieving 100% occupancy in many assignments. He spearheaded the $4 million renovation of Eola Park Centre which converted a 1969 Class B building into a Class A office project that was awarded a Golden Brick Award by the Downtown Orlando Partnership and the Toby by the BOMA. James also sold the first multi-family site for a 252-unit apartment complex in the large 1,600 acre Metrowest development in southwest Orlando.James has been recognized multiple times over the years by the Central Florida Commercial Real Estate Society as one of Orlando’s Top Office Producers in 1996, 1997, 2000, 2001. He was recognized as a top producer for Galbreath Select 1996 and the Jones Lang LaSalle Club 2001 for overall production. He was also awarded the 2002 Golden Brick Award for promotion/production of the Orlando community event Festival Fridays. In addition, James has served on the Board of the Downtown Orlando Partnership for several years and chaired, organized, sponsorship funding and marketing of several other major community entertainment events. |
