Mr. James W. Smith is a Senior Managing Engineer in Exponent’s Vehicle Engineering practice and is based in Exponent’s Test and Engineering Center in Phoenix Arizona. Mr. Smith specializes in vehicle testing and design analysis including testing and analysis of vehicle handling and has expertise in crash testing sled testing and quasi-static strength testing for automobile light truck/SUV heavy truck forklift motorcycle and ATV designs. His expertise further includes the analysis and investigation of motor vehicle crashes computer simulation test fixture design instrumentation and data analysis and component-level testing of vehicle systems and other mechanical systems.
