Jim is a partner in our Audit and Accounting Services Group and is located in our Malvern, PA office. Professional Experience Jim has over 20 years of accounting industry experience, working with publicly-traded and middle market companies, and has focused his practice on serving public utility clients. As a partner, Jim’s responsibilities in the audit and accounting group include the coordination of the annual audit, assistance with financial statement preparation, consultation on accounting and reporting matters, and assistance with merger and acquisition activities. He also is experienced in all aspects of SEC reporting and filings under both the 1933 and 1934 Acts, communications with the SEC and initial public offerings. Prior to joining bmc, Jim was a senior manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). At PwC, Jim was the lead senior manager on a number of large public utility companies including American Water, Elizabethtown Water Company, North Penn Water Authority, Chester Water Authority, Constellation Energy Group, Exelon Generation, and Pepco Holdings, Inc. Jim was responsible for all phases of the audit for these engagements. Jim also held a thought leadership position as a subject matter expert at PwC providing clients and PwC engagement teams with accounting technical consultations for emerging accounting issues that impacted the utility industry. Jim developed a number of technical accounting whitepapers for PwC including most recently on the impact of FIN 47, Accounting for Conditional Asset Retirement Obligations an interpretation of FASB Statement No. 143 to companies that utilize the group depreciation convention.
